Sugaring uses a sugar paste made of sugar, lemon, and water that we mold onto your skin. 

The technique that we use allows the sugar paste to seep into your hair follicles and wrap around the hair to ensure full removal of the hair. 

Unlike waxing, we remove the hair in the direction of growth, meaning there is less of a chance for hair breakage. Which also means you're less likely to get ingrown hairs if you're following proper aftercare protocols.

We love sugar because its water soluble. Meaning, it won't stick to any live skin cells but will exfoliate dead skin! It can also easily clean up with warm water, no greasy wax remover needed and no sticky residue left like with wax! Even if you have sensitive skin, sugar can be safely used with little to no irritation.

Since sugaring is technique based it does take longer than a waxing service. However, since we can go over the same areas multiple times with no irritation we can usually extract all hair with no tweezing.

We use Alexandria Professional techniques, sugar pastes, and products.

There are two different types of wax, soft wax, and hard wax.

We primarily use hard wax, especially for facial waxing. It's less likely to adhere to the skin and can feel a bit more gentle for the client.

Hard wax is applied directly to the skin in the direction of growth and hardens on the skin. Once it cools and grabs the hair, it can be removed in one piece against the direction of growth.

Soft wax is also applied directly to the skin in the direction of growth. However, a cotton strip is applied overtop to stick to the wax and removed with the cotton strip. We mostly use soft wax on larger areas of the body like the legs and back.

Waxing is a faster service, but since wax adheres to the skin, we can't go over the same spot more than once or twice. This means more tweezing if the wax doesn't pick up the hair we want it to.
